Renovation of concert hall in Omsk

The project of renovation was aimed to maximize the comfort of listeners and artists and improve acoustics for the concerts of the Omsk Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Omsk State Russian Folk Choir and different guest ensembles who are often invited to perform in the concert hall.
Omsk Concert hall is the first hall in the region which is built considering the needs of disabled people. To ensure their convenience the design includes places for wheelchairs in the auditorium, access ramps and stairlift.
Moreover, the renovation of the Concert hall gave the opportunity to organize live TV broadcasting and also resulted in new video surveillance and fire suppression systems and a system of simultaneous interpreting for international conferences.
In Russia architectural acoustic solutions similar to ones used in Omsk project were also utilized during construction of Svetlanov Hall of Moscow International House of Music and a new concert hall of the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre in Saint-Petersburg.
